On September 25, at Heydar Aliyev International Airport, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev was presented with JF-17C (Block-III) multirole fighter jets. These advanced, lightweight, all-weather aircraft, capable of day and night operations, were developed through a joint venture between Pakistan Aeronautical Complex and Chengdu Aircraft Industry Corporation of China. The jets have already been integrated into Azerbaijan's Air Force.

Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, Azerbaijan's Defense Minister, reported to President Aliyev, while Air Vice Marshal Hakim Raza, Chairman of the Pakistan Aeronautical Complex Board, provided detailed information on the aircraft's tactical and technical specifications, operational guidelines, and key performance indicators. The JF-17C (Block-III) is known for its air-to-air and air-to-ground capabilities and high maneuverability at medium and low altitudes, making it effective in combat.

On September 24, President Aliyev also toured the 5th Anniversary Azerbaijan International Defence Exhibition "ADEX-2024" and the 14th International Exhibition for Internal Security, Safety and Rescue Equipment "Securex Caspian" at the Baku Expo Center. Ministers Zakir Hasanov and Vugar Mustafayev informed the president about the exhibitions. Since its inception in 2014, ADEX has brought together numerous companies and nearly 200 official delegations from over 50 countries. This year, more than 218 companies from around 40 countries participated.

The exhibition, organized with the support of Azerbaijan's Ministry of Defence Industry, is a significant platform showcasing the strength of the country's defense industry. New participants this year include countries like Hungary, Qatar, Singapore, and Slovakia.

President Aliyev visited the pavilion of "Azersilah" Defense Industry Holding, which displayed military products such as drones and automatic cannons. The president also toured international pavilions from Belarus, Serbia, Türkiye, China, Russia, and Israel. The exhibitions highlighted Türkiye’s Roketsan and Turkish Aerospace, known for missile technologies and aerospace systems, and Israel’s Rafael Advanced Defense Systems and Elbit Systems, which presented cutting-edge technologies.

In the open-air section, "Azersilah" JSC showcased armored vehicles and reconnaissance drones, while Sumgayit Technology Park demonstrated its capabilities in arms and munitions production. Italy participated for the first time, represented by the Exclases Group, which displayed the Agusta Westland 109 helicopter. Turkiye’s Baykar company exhibited its "Bayraktar TB2" and "Bayraktar KALKAN" drones.
