
Azerbaijan to Supply Gas to Hungary by the End of the Year

On 10 July, Azerbaijan's Energy Ministry reported that gas supplies from Azerbaijan to Hungary will begin by the end of the year. According to the information, this was announced at the meeting between Parviz Shahbazov, the head of the Azerbaijani Energy Ministry, and Péter Szijjártó, the Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
According to information, the meeting noted the importance of accelerating the processes related to the development of infrastructure for increasing gas supplies from Azerbaijan to Europe. During the meeting, a wide range of ideas were exchanged on the production of green energy in the Caspian Sea, the construction of various lines for the transmission of this energy, the laying of a cable through the bottom of the Black Sea, the technical and economic justification of the project of the green energy corridor, including the delivery to the markets, and other necessary measures.
In particular, satisfaction was expressed with the development of an energy partnership between Azerbaijan and Hungary on a bilateral and multilateral basis and with the current level of cooperation in all directions within the framework of the Working Group on Energy. Views were exchanged on the supply of natural gas and green energy.
