| News, Azerbaijan

According to the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, airstrikes near Azerbaijan's honorary consulate badly damaged the building in Kharkiv.

At the same time, the consulate officer's vehicle began to fail.

"Employees of the honorary consulate were not hurt and are presently in a secure location," according to a statement from the ministry.

Since the commencement of hostilities in Ukraine, some 8,000 Azerbaijanis have been evacuated.

Azerbaijan had previously urged on Moscow and Kyiv to engage in talks to resolve Ukraine's current issue.

In a speech to the UN Human Rights Council on March 2, Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov made the remarks.

"The ongoing humanitarian catastrophe necessitates immediate assistance to all who are impacted. Azerbaijan has offered humanitarian help and urged both parties to engage in talks," he stated

Azerbaijan is concerned about the situation in Ukraine, according to the ministry. Civilians and civilian infrastructure, according to Bayramov, must be protected, and human rights must be always respected.

"Azerbaijan regrets that the current situation in Ukraine has resulted in human losses, particularly among civilians," he stated.
