Azerbaijani Lawmakers Take Stand Against Iran, Declare Readiness for Combat

| News, Politics, Azerbaijan

"If necessary, we are ready to fight Iran"

Azerbaijani MP Siyavush Novruzov said he is ready to fight against Iran if necessary: "Hazrat Ali has a saying, a person without conviction has no faith. The perpetrators of the terrorist act have neither conviction nor faith. If they are trying to frighten us with a terrorist act, they are making a mistake. Many troops have come upon us. Today, the people of Azerbaijan breathe easy thanks to the line set by the great leader and the policy pursued by the president. Those living abroad should not be happy that they will be able to confuse the opinions of our people. We are ready to fight with Iran if necessary. We warn the henchmen of Iran and other countries that we have enough strength and power."

"They were surprised, they did not know that such events could not frighten Azerbaijan"

MP Aydın Mirzazade spoke about terrorism against his MP colleague Fazil Mustafa in his speech at the Milli Majlis. He said that the enemies were happy about this event, and it was clear where the target was ordered from. Mirzazade noted that this was a plan to prevent Azerbaijan from its national interests in relations with Armenia. "This terror was committed three days after the successful operations carried out by Azerbaijan in the Lachin region. They made a big mistake. They were confused, they did not know that such events cannot frighten Azerbaijan," the MP added.

Mirzazade noted that the one standing next to the occupier today has no difference from the occupier. According to him, those who consider Armenia's interests as their own should know that Azerbaijan will forever protect its victories after 200 years at the cost of life and blood.

"Iran gathered troops near Nakhchivan"

MP Siyavush Novruzov said at the meeting of the Azerbaijani Parliament: "Iran has no creed, no faith, no faith. Those who sit here are people of faith, belief, and confidence."

The MP noted that Azerbaijan could fight against Iran on the border with Iran: "Iran has gathered troops near the territory of Nakhchivan, and we are ready to fight there."

"Azerbaijan is not the Azerbaijan of the 90s. Today, Azerbaijan is a strong state with a strong leader and team. I also warn the henchmen of Iran to gather themselves. We also have enough strength and power," he concluded.

"The strengthening of Azerbaijan makes Iran panic"

Parliament member Kamran Bayramov said, "Today, Azerbaijan's statehood, its strengthening, and its independent policy frighten Iran. After regaining its independence, Iran has been an evil finger in all the difficult situations Azerbaijan has faced."

The MP emphasized that after the Second Karabakh War, Iran's threats and mischief against Baku have exceeded the limits: "The gross interference of Iran's clerics and individuals in the internal affairs of our country is unacceptable, and such actions are met with unequivocal protest by the Azerbaijani public. By embracing the aggressor Armenia, Iran actually showed its true face. Despite the policy of our state based on the principle of friendship with Iran, Tehran demonstrates its unwillingness to stop its anti-Azerbaijani activities. Concerned about the development of independent Azerbaijan and the strengthening of its positions, Iran is conducting an ugly, black PR campaign against our country through media controlled by Iran. However, the vigilance of Azerbaijan's state institutions and our society prevent all provocations directed against our country."

The MP drew attention to the fact that the capture of a large number of people serving the Iranian spy network in Azerbaijan in recent months suggests that the mullah regime is one of the most interested forces in dividing Azerbaijan, as it was historically, and is now one of the most interested forces: "This is a policy of hostility directed not only against the state, statehood, regime, its existence but against the people, the nation. Our southern neighbor should know that it will not achieve anything with such actions. Because Azerbaijan is a strong, solid state with a state system and people's solidarity. It is impossible to weaken this state by external or internal pressures."
