Azerbaijani MPs Increase Pressure on Iran Amid Embassy Attack

| News, Politics, Azerbaijan

"If Iran does not admit its guilt, relations will become tenser"

Azerbaijani MP Vahid Ahmadov was the guest of Sevinj Telmangyzi, the host of the live broadcast of TV Musavat. Vahid Ahmadov talked about the terrorist attack on the Azerbaijani Embassy in Tehran in the program.

"About a week has passed since the attack on the Azerbaijani Embassy in Iran. Politicians and political scientists in Azerbaijan have expressed their positions. But Iran does not want to admit its guilt," Vahid Ahmadov added.

"Azerbaijan's presence and independence scare Iran"

Kamran Bayramov, a member of the Azerbaijani Parliament, stated, "It seems from the recent processes that the strengthening of Azerbaijan, its independent policy, and the normalization of the situation in the country do not benefit some foreign countries. Today, the existence and independence of Azerbaijan frighten Iran. Its strengthening and independence have greatly impacted the national movement in Iran. They know it very well. Iran's long-term threats and mischief against our country have already exceeded their limits."

Bayramov noted that the gross interference of Iranian religious figures and individuals in the internal affairs of Azerbaijan is unacceptable, and such actions are met with unequivocal protest by the Azerbaijani public. "By embracing the aggressor Armenia, Iran showed its loyalty to the Islamic sect. Although the policy of our country is based on the principle of friendship with Iran, Tehran shows its unwillingness to stop its anti-Azerbaijani activities. Concerned about developing an independent Azerbaijan and strengthening its positions, Iran is conducting a black PR campaign against our country through television channels and websites. However, the sufficient vigilance of the state institutions of Azerbaijan and our society results in the timely prevention of all provocations directed against our country," the MP added.

The MP drew attention to the fact that the capture of many people serving the Iranian spy network in Azerbaijan in the last two days suggests that the mullah regime is one of the forces most interested in dividing Azerbaijan, as it was historically and is now one of the most interested forces. "The cruel regime of the Iranian mullahs did not accept the Red Crescent Society's offer to help the earthquake victims in the city of Khoy, West Azerbaijan province of Iran. Although the Iranian regime ignores the residents of Khoy, who are facing severe consequences of the earthquake, our compatriots are trying to organize aid themselves. Aid is organized, especially from Tabriz and Ardabil. As we can see from social media, relief tents have been set up in many squares of Tabriz, and 20-30 cars leave for Khoy every day. However, it is a pity that the Iranian regime is trying to prevent this assistance of the people of South Azerbaijan and creating obstacles. Even people are resisting the Iranian forces and being beaten to deliver this aid. Many videos and information about this have been spread on social networks. This is clearly a genocide against our compatriots in Khoy," the MP emphasized. He added that southern neighbors should know they will not achieve anything with such actions.
