Papuashvili welcomed Gafarova warmly, noting that hers was the first visit by a head of legislature following Georgia's parliamentary elections and the formation of the new parliament, symbolizing the strong ties between the two countries. He reflected on his previous visits to Azerbaijan and emphasized how frequent exchanges had strengthened bilateral relations.

Gafarova highlighted the deep-rooted friendship between Azerbaijan and Georgia, emphasizing that these ties are based on the shared will of their peoples. She quoted Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, who stated that the political relations between the two countries could serve as a model for neighboring states.

The two Speakers also discussed the success of joint energy and transport projects, which serve both nations' interests and contribute to regional stability. They reaffirmed their mutual support for each other’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.

During her visit, Gafarova signed a memorandum of cooperation with Papuashvili to further strengthen inter-parliamentary relations.
