Central Bank of Georgia Limits Russian Cardholders’ Purchases to 300 Euros
On May 22, the Central Bank of Georgia officially restricted the purchasing limit for Russian citizens holding locally issued cards to a maximum of 300 euros for goods and services, in compliance with international sanctions.
The financial institution confirmed its adherence to sanctions imposed by the United States, the European Union, and the United Kingdom.
In response to an inquiry, the Bank of Georgia stated, "The Bank of Georgia has complied, and continues to comply, with the requirements of the sanctions imposed by the United States, the European Union, and the United Kingdom."
