On December 8, a tripartite meeting was held in Moscow with the participation of Kamran Aliyev, Igor Krasnov, and Anna Vardapetyan, the chief prosecutors of Azerbaijan, Russia, and Armenia. The meeting took place at the initiative of the Prosecutor General of Russia.

According to the information of the General Prosecutor's Office of Azerbaijan, Kamran Aliyev raised the issue of mined areas and the inadmissibility of the process of mining Azerbaijani territories by Armenia. He also said that illegal visits to Karabakh and exploiting natural resources are unacceptable. Noting the importance of joint efforts to search for those missing in the First and Second Karabakh wars, Aliyev called for the continuation of these efforts.

In turn, the Armenian side called for fulfilling the humanitarian requirements of the tripartite statement of November 9, 2020, regarding the prisoners of war. According to the information of the General Prosecutor's Office of Armenia, Anna Vardapetyan said that the fulfillment of the humanitarian requirements stipulated in the tripartite declaration is a priority for Armenia. At the same time, Azerbaijan does not fully fulfill them. "Even though two years have passed since the signing of the declaration, Armenian prisoners of war are still in Azerbaijan." "This behavior of Azerbaijan does not contribute to the realization of the goals of the tripartite declaration," Vardapetyan added.

Igor Krasnov, the Prosecutor General of Russia, said that the leaders would promote the common interests of the three countries, including comprehensive normalization of Azerbaijan-Armenia relations, ensuring peace, stability, security, and sustainable economic development in the South Caucasus.

"I consider this approach to be the only effective means of achieving the long-awaited mutual understanding on the issue of border conflict resolution and solving other problems facing the prosecutor's offices of our states," Krasnov said. "Undoubtedly, local conflicts and crises not only have a devastating effect on the geopolitical situation, but also are a fertile ground for widespread crimes, the spread of terrorism and extremist ideas, and the inculcation of hatred and enmity," the Russian Prosecutor General added. According to him, the true servants of the law are obliged to create normal life and development conditions for people and protect them from criminals' destructive influence.
