De-facto Defense Ministry Launches Second Stage of Joint Staff Training in Separatist Abkhazia

In the de-facto Armed Forces of the separatist Abkhazia, from June 20 to 21, a joint staff training (JST) is being held. On June 19, Colonel-General Vladimir Anua, the de-facto Defense Minister, announced the start of the second stage of the joint staff training in command and control of the Armed Forces.

According to the information, the General Staff urgently began deploying the command-and-control system of the Armed Forces in unfamiliar areas in difficult operational conditions. "The designated troops have been brought to the highest degree of combat readiness to carry out combat missions for their intended purpose at all ranges, as well as unfamiliar areas of the terrain," the de-facto Defense Ministry said.

The main goal of the Ministry of Defense is to increase the readiness of command-and-control bodies to solve suddenly arising tasks under any conditions of the situation, the coordinated work of departments, departments, and services of the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff at all stages of preparation and conduct of hostilities. "Particular attention is paid to solving the problems of command and control, information support for the combat activities of the troops," the department noted.

In the second stage, operational groups and troops of interacting power structures will take part in the training. Joint staff training is the next stage in the training of officials of the command-and-control bodies of the troops, improving their professional skills in the course of working out the issues of planning the use of troops for their intended purpose based on an analysis of the results of modern armed conflicts, including the experience of a special military operation of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
