EBRD to Finance New Trade Hub in Yerevan with €45 Million Package
At its Cabinet meeting on September 4, the Armenian government approved the proposal to sign a loan agreement with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) for the construction of the Yerevan Customs and Logistics Center.
The project, designed to serve the needs of the State Revenue Committee, will be financed through a combination of loans and grants. Under the agreements, Armenia will receive €45 million in total funding, including €39 million in loans and €6 million in grants.
Officials said the new center will strengthen Armenia’s customs infrastructure, improve logistics efficiency, and facilitate trade by streamlining customs procedures in line with international standards. The project is part of broader efforts to modernize Armenia’s trade infrastructure and enhance its integration into regional and global markets
