Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Gharibashvili visited the United Arab Emirates (UAE), where he attended the summit of world governments in Dubai. In his speech, Gharibashvili argued that “over the past decade, we have been able to make Georgia one of the best places to do business in the world. It should be noted that Georgia has one of the lowest tax rates in the world. According to the World Bank, Georgia ranks third among the countries with the lowest tax burden, and the total tax rate is 9.9%. Also, according to the ease of doing business of the World Bank 2020 study, Georgia is ranked 7th globally. We also offer attractive offers to investors because we have created a tax model that does not tax retained earnings”.

As the head of the government noted, Georgia has four free industrial zones, and export goods produced in these zones are exempt from taxes. He also spoke about the positive evaluations of Georgia by international organizations.

"Besides, Georgia has four free industrial zones, in these zones, export goods are produced and exempted from taxes. All this contributes to making Georgia a business destination and destination. In the Fraser Institute's 2022 World Economic Freedom Report, Georgia was ranked among the 15 countries with the freest economies. According to the 2021 "International Budget Partnership" (IBP) and Open Budget (OBS) research, Georgia ranks first among 120 countries in the direction of transparency of state budgets. According to the assessment of the investment policy, based on the index of restriction of direct foreign investments by regulatory norms, Georgia ranks 8th among 80 countries and is the most open economy in the world. In The Heritage Foundation's 2022 Index of Economic Freedom, Georgia ranks 18th in Europe, ahead of many EU member states, and ranks 26th among 177 countries in the global ranking. This recognition is a testament to the enormous progress we have made in promoting economic freedom and creating a more successful future for all citizens," the Prime Minister noted.

The PM also emphasized the development of Anaklia deep-water port, which will increase Georgia's ability to transport large quantities of dry and liquid cargo, "We will already see flagship projects with European partners, which will provide an additional energy stimulus and act as a catalyst for integration with the European Union. We believe that all countries of the South Caucasus from east to west will benefit from these projects. However, strengthening the economy and developing the de-regional hub will not be possible without proper planning and proof of democratic values. That is why last year, we approved the government's vision 2030. This is the development strategy of Georgia, which is a comprehensive national policy document and reflects the main goals and priorities of the country's development by 2030, the spirit of the sustainable development agenda defined by the United Nations for 2030, and the principles of the Association Agreement of Georgia with the European Union. The long-term vision of the strategy aims at promoting sustainable economic growth, social equality, security and stability, democracy, and the rule of law in Georgia".

The productive cooperation between Georgia and the World Economic Forum team was emphasized at the meeting.
