Georgian PM Attends World Economic Forum in Davos

The Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Garibashvili, during his visit to the Swiss Confederation, Davos, met with the leaders of the Davos Economic Forum and heads of leading companies. The head of the Georgian government also attended the reception organized by the founder and executive chairman of the forum, Professor Klaus Schwab, and his wife, Hilde Schwab. The reception was held in Davos in honor of the participating leaders of the economic forum and heads of leading companies.

Garibashvili held the first meeting with the executive chairman of the company Koç Holding, Levent Chakiroglu. According to the information of the government administration, among the discussed issues were the main directions of the company's activity in Georgia, as well as the prospects of expanding cooperation in new projects and fields.

"The parties reviewed the current positive economic trends in the country. As the Prime Minister noted, Georgia has experienced high economic growth in recent years, which is the result of the correct economic policy of the government. It was noted that Georgia is favorable for investors in many directions, including the country in the IT sector, which has one of the most favorable tax conditions and is dynamically developing.

The parties also discussed issues of cooperation in the field of tourism. The Prime Minister emphasized the great potential of the country in this direction and noted that as a result of the government's policy, direct income from tourism has significantly increased in recent years. The parties agreed to continue cooperation in the future.
