Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, leading a delegation, participated in the World Government Summit in Dubai, UAE, where he addressed global leaders on Georgia's economic progress and strategic role in international trade.As part of his visit, he also held discussions with Kuwaiti Prime Minister Ahmed Al-Abdullah Al-Ahmed Al-Sabah to strengthen bilateral ties.

The Prime Minister was accompanied by Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Levan Davitashvili, Minister of Foreign Affairs Maka Botchorishvili, Minister of Justice Anri Okhanashvili, and Head of Government Administration Levan Zhorzholiani.In his speech at the Summit on February 11, Kobakhidze highlighted Georgia's economic resilience, emphasising the country's strategic location as a bridge between Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. He emphasised the country's growing role in global connectivity and digital trade routes, positioning Georgia as a key hub for commerce and technological expansion.

The Prime Minister stated that Georgia serves as a natural link between Europe, the Middle East, and South Asia, while also offering access to Central and East Asia.With direct connectivity to the EU via the Black Sea, Georgia plays a crucial role in developing digital and economic corridors.
Kobakhidze also reaffirmed Georgia's commitment to economic stability and growth, despite global uncertainties, stating: "Our government remains focused on fostering economic expansion, enhancing social equity, and ensuring national security." He went on to highlight Georgia's success in strengthening international partnerships and attracting foreign investment.Addressing relations with the UAE, Kobakhidze noted the strategic importance of both nations as global trade and logistics hubs. He cited the recently signed agreement with Dubai-based EMAAR, a major player in the real estate sector, which plans to invest $6 billion in Georgia, as a prime example of successful cooperation.The Prime Minister also underscored the shared vision between the UAE and Georgia for economic advancement, emphasising the strategic importance of their geographic positions in facilitating global trade, opening new avenues for investment and collaboration.

He also highlighted Georgia's economic achievements, noting an average growth rate of 9.7% from 2021 to 2023, with a projected 9.5% growth in 2024.He emphasised the country's stable inflation rates, business-friendly environment, and trade policies that promote economic expansion.
During his visit, Kobakhidze met with Kuwaiti Prime Minister Ahmed Al-Abdullah Al-Ahmed Al-Sabah to discuss ways to strengthen economic ties between the two countries. The two leaders explored opportunities for enhanced cooperation in tourism, real estate, and energy.The discussions also highlighted Kuwait's support for Georgia's territorial integrity and sovereignty, with both sides expressing interest in expanding bilateral trade and investment.A working group will be established to facilitate collaboration between the private and public sectors of the two nations.
This year's World Government Summit, which brought together over 6,000 participants, including global leaders, industry experts, and policymakers, explored solutions for emerging global challenges. The event focused on six key themes, including governance, economic sustainability, climate change, and technological advancements.
