The Prime Minister highlighted the prior accomplishments on the present government's route toward EU integration and said that a significant portion of the requirements had been satisfied. The parties also spoke about the current conflict in Ukraine and how it has affected the security situation in the area.

In a tweet, the President of the European Council remarked that Georgia's future is in the EU and emphasized how vital it is now more than ever to carry out the EU's top goals. In his writing, he also highlighted the necessity of furthering changes in the judiciary, the rule of law, and press freedom during his discussion with Garibashvili. Additionally, he added that the EU stands by Georgia every step of the way and that this is a historic moment for Georgia.

Meeting with Jens Stoltenberg

The Prime Minister expressed his deep gratitude for the Allies' backing of Georgia's Euro-Atlantic aspirations and their consistent support of Georgia's sovereignty and territorial integrity during the joint news conference held before the meeting with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg. He concluded that Georgia's Euro-Atlantic aspiration remains its top foreign policy priority.

As for Georgia, the Secretary-General said that it is one of NATO's closest partners and emphasized that Allies fully support Georgia's sovereignty and territorial integrity. In addition, he stressed that Georgia could continue to rely on NATO's political and practical support while urging more active democratic changes: "In turn, I count on Georgia to redouble efforts on domestic reforms and uphold democratic standards." He said, "That is why I welcome the decision to withdraw the draft law on foreign influence, which was incompatible with Euro-Atlantic values and the protection of fundamental freedoms." "The problems pertaining to the Georgia-NATO collaboration and how we can further strengthen it, notably through cooperation in the framework of the Substantial NATO-Georgia Package, would be discussed with the Prime Minister," he added. "We will also talk about Russia's war of aggression and the importance of standing by Ukraine," Jens Stoltenberg said.
