Lithuania Adds 10 Georgian Citizens to 'Undesirable Persons' List
On July 28, the Lithuanian Migration Service published the names of 10 Georgian citizens who have been added to the country's list of "undesirable persons" and are now subject to visa restrictions. While the Lithuanian authorities had announced the update to the list last week, the specific names of the sanctioned individuals were only recently made public. The group includes judges, prosecutors, and members of the ruling Georgian Dream party.
The newly sanctioned individuals are:
Nino Galustashvili - judge
Jvebe Nachkebia - judge
Irakli Shvangiradze - judge
Viktor Metreveli - judge
Mari Meshveliani - prosecutor
Natia Tatiashvili - prosecutor
Sulkhan Tamazashvili - head of the government of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara
Mariam Lashkhi - MP from the Georgian Dream
Nino Tsilosani - MP from the Georgian Dream
Razhden Kuprashvili - head of the Anti-Corruption Bureau
With this addition, the list of undesirable persons in Lithuania now includes a total of 102 Georgian citizens. This action follows previous restrictions imposed by Lithuania in December 2024, which targeted Bidzina Ivanishvili, the founder and honorary chairman of Georgian Dream, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, and 16 other representatives of the party. That list also included high-ranking officials from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, judges, and prosecutors.
