Nationalists presented Erdogan map of "Turkic world" with regions of southern Russia
The leader of the Turkish parliamentary party of the nationalist movement, Devlet Bahceli, presented the "Turkic World" map to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. It included the southern regions of Russia: the Kuban, Rostov region, the republics of the North Caucasus, as well as Crimea.
In February, the Turkish state-owned TV channel TGRT released a map forecasting the expansion of Ankara's zone of influence to southern Russia, which drew criticism from State Duma deputies. It is unlikely that Turkey will be able to significantly influence Russia, said orientalist Alexei Malashenko.

In the pictures, two politicians are holding a map with the image of the "Turkic world." The photo was taken at the presidential palace, according to the caption.

After the opening of the Fuzuli international airport on October 26, which was attended by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said that the "Zangezur corridor will unite the entire Turkic world." "Azerbaijan and Turkey are taking practical steps to implement the Zangezur corridor and I am sure that these steps will yield results in the near future," Ilham Aliyev after talked with Erdoğan.
The card presented to Erdoğan was previously presented at the summit of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-speaking States (CCTS, Turkic Council) in Istanbul as part of the Declaration "Vision of the Turkic World until 2040," which spoke of common identity as a source of cultural wealth. As a result of this summit, the CCTS was renamed the Organisation of Turkic States. The Turkish President then said that "the organisation of the Turkic states should not bother anyone."
"On the contrary, we must strive to become part of this ascending structure based on historical community. This organisation is a platform for the development of interstate relations," Erdoğan flagged.
Ankara stands for the preservation of the territorial integrity of Ukraine and does not recognise the annexation of Crimea by Russia. This was stated by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, speaking at the 76th session of the UN General Assembly.
