Over 80 Projects Underway in Syunik Within EU’s “Resilient Syunik: Team Europe” Initiative
More than 80 development projects are currently being implemented in Armenia’s Syunik Province under the “Resilient Syunik: Team Europe” initiative, Governor Robert Ghukasyan told reporters on October 17.
“The main goal of the ‘Resilient Syunik: Team Europe’ initiative is to implement targeted programs in Syunik across key sectors such as education, healthcare, infrastructure, social services, small and medium-sized enterprises, and local infrastructure development,” Ghukasyan said. “Currently, more than 80 projects are underway. These are coordinated, jointly discussed, and targeted programs aimed at strengthening Syunik’s resilience.”
He added that the total value of the projects has already reached €200 million, emphasizing the importance of maintaining their quality. “We must work to ensure the quality of these programs, and I believe that in the near future, we will achieve high standards and strong results,” Ghukasyan noted.
Earlier, Head of the EU Delegation to Armenia Vassilis Maragos said that the European Union’s overall investments in Armenia, implemented through various programs, are expected to reach €2.5 billion, underscoring the EU’s long-term commitment to Armenia’s regional development and resilience.
