Meeting with Aliyev

On November 28, Ilham Aliyev, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, received Philip Reeker, the Chief Advisor of the US State Department on Caucasus Negotiations, the Press Office of the Azerbaijani President reported.

Philip Reeker conveyed the greetings of US Secretary of State Antony Blinken to President Ilham Aliyev.

The head of state expressed his gratitude for the greetings and asked to convey his greetings to Antoni Blinken.

At the meeting, views on the meeting held in Washington at the level of foreign ministers regarding the normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan and negotiations on a peace treaty were exchanged.

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken's constant attention to the process of normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan was highly appreciated.

Meeting with Bayramov

On the same day, a meeting was held between Jeyhun Bayramov, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and Philip Reeker, the Press Office of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry reported.

During the meeting, the Azerbaijan-Armenia normalization process, the bilateral negotiations on the elements of the peace agreement, including the Washington meeting, and the issues arising from it, the current situation on the opening of communications, and the delimitation process were discussed.

Within the framework of the tripartite statement, Minister Jeyhun Bayramov pointed out that Armenia has not yet fulfilled its obligations, has not fully withdrawn its forces from the territories of Azerbaijan, continues to threaten mines, and uses the Lachin road for military purposes contrary to its obligations. He emphasized that it is important to prevent the mentioned destructive steps. At the same time, the report added that the minister informed the other side about the views of Azerbaijan on the reintegration of Armenian residents living in Karabakh.

Philip Reeker said that the US side is ready to support the normalization process by all means. He pointed out that the negotiations on the elements of the peace agreement are important, and it is necessary to ensure peace and tranquility in the region.

The parties also exchanged views on various aspects of the bilateral cooperation agenda and other issues of mutual interest.
