On April 18, Poland declared eight members of Georgia’s law enforcement agencies persona non grata due to their involvement in suppressing opposition rallies, signaling support for Georgia’s pro-European movement.

During the announcement, the Polish Embassy stated that, “in response to intensified repression against the opposition in Georgia,” eight officials from Georgian law enforcement had been banned from entering Polish territory.

The statement emphasized that these individuals were “responsible for violence against protesters” and reaffirmed Poland’s support for “the pro-European aspirations of Georgian society.” However, the embassy did not disclose the names of the targeted officials.
