Protest Continues Along Lachin Corridor
Event Overview
On December 15, demonstrations continued in Yerevan in front of the embassies of responsible countries. The video shows a protest rally in front of the Russian embassy. The rallies take place in front of the permanent members of the UN Security Council and the EU embassies.
Commenting on the situation around the Lachin corridor on the same day, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that it is unacceptable to create problems for the lives of the civilian population.
On December 16, Ruben Vardanyan, the State Minister (head of government) of the unrecognized republic, said that Azerbaijan restored gas supplies to Nagorno-Karabakh, stressing that this was done without any preconditions from Baku.
On December 17, Russian peacekeepers prevented a mobile wave through special equipment deployed in the area. Currently, the set is very low in the area.
On the same day, The Russian peacekeepers did not create conditions for the Azerbaijani monitoring group to inspect the deposits on the spot again.

Recent developments
On December 18, according to unofficial news, the Karabakh Armenians blocked a column of Azerbaijani military lorries from passing from Aghdam through to Kalbajar echoing.
On the same day, Russia's peacekeeping contingent in the separatist Nagorno-Karabakh stated that the negotiation process between the Armenian and Azerbaijani sides to reopen the road continues.
After several hours, Russian peacekeepers proposed to the Armenia and Azerbaijan sides during the negotiation process to reopen the Lachin corridor, specifically observation outpost №7. They were awaiting their answers, according to an official notification.
On December 19, the demonstrators on Lachin Road permitted the passage of ambulance and Red Cross vehicles coming from Khankandi/Stepanakert. Evidently, according to the Armenian side, the ambulance was transporting those patients who were in very bad condition and needed to be evacuated to Armenia.
On the same day, a regular session of the Security Council (SC) was held under the leadership of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, the Press Office of the Armenian Prime Minister reported. In addition to the members of the SC, Vahagn Khachaturyan, the President of the Republic, Alen Simonyan, the President of the National Assembly, Arayik Harutyunyan, the Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister, Ruben Rubinyan, the Parliament's Vice President, Tigran Khachatryan, the Minister of Finance, Robert Khachatryan, the Minister of High-Tech Industry.
Moreover, Russian peacekeepers left the section of the road blocked by Azerbaijani protesters. But the protesters were not moving forward.
