Ramzan Kadyrov Comments on Protest Against New Mosque in Moscow

| News, Politics, North Caucasus

Ramzan Kadyrov, the head of Chechnya, stated that the participants in the rally against constructing a mosque in Moscow should be sent to the trenches.

"I kept waiting for someone to say the obvious about the rallies against the construction of a mosque in Moscow. Any situation can always be resolved through diplomacy. But literally in a few days, a deliberate and active swaying of the topic began on this issue," Kadyrov said on his Telegram channel. "If all these participants in the rally with all their heart and soul came up with the idea of defending the Russian land, then forward into the trenches with a machine gun," Kadyrov called. "You cannot take in the vast expanses of Russian land on the front line, which must be defended every day. Take a machine gun, push away the Muslim who is fighting in the Russian Donbas today instead of you, and show your patriotism, show indeed, and not in words or provocations, how much you love your Motherland. This is where the Russian land today needs protection and real men! It is not for you to speak in front of the camera with a full and sleepy microphone," the head of Chechnya wrote.

"Russia is a multinational and multi-confessional country, and everyone, without exception, and division into a nation or faith, must defend and protect it," Kadyrov said. "This is exactly what is happening today in the special military operation zone, where a Russian, a Chechen, a Bashkir, a Tatar, a Christian, and a Muslim stand shoulder to shoulder, share rations, pray to the Almighty in one dugout. There are real patriots, real defenders!" he noted.

"The instigators are acting in favor of Western interests, no matter what excuses they come up with. Intentionally or not, it doesn't matter. This is a provocation! Such instigators must either be mobilized to throw out all the anger at the enemy or sent to court as information saboteurs acting to please Satanists," Kadyrov said.

Notably, on April 2, a rally was held in the east of Moscow against constructing a mosque. The object is planned to be erected on the site of the Holy Lake in the Kosino-Ukhtomsky district of the city.
