Ramzan Kadyrov Stands Up for Beards of Fighters

| News, Security, North Caucasus

Lieutenant-General Viktor Sobolev, a Russian State Duma Defense Committee member, said that many commanders demand that soldiers shave their beards and give up tablets and smartphones. Commenting on Sobolev's criticism of the fighters, Ramzan Kadyrov, the head of Chechnya, said that apparently, Lieutenant General Viktor Sobolev has much free time in the service, and since he has nothing to do, he rereads the charter.

"There were no problems in the ranks of our fighters defending the motherland from neo-Nazis, and bam! Appeared! Beard. I can imagine how surprised our front-line fighters were to see both bearded and shaved volunteers. They did not even suspect that a dangerous enemy lurked in their ranks: facial hair! We drop our guns, let us go shave, and the Nazis will wait on the sidelines for now, chatting about some kind of fascist deeds. After all, in every trench, there is a faucet with hot water, shaving foam is given out in the morning at the bath building, and razors were given out a month in advance. And you never know when, amid hostilities, a civilian will run under fire in the middle of the fighting and, shocked by the sight of a bearded Russian fighter, will suddenly reconsider his negative attitude toward Bandera," he added.

"As if there were no problems on the front line, the head of Chechnya noted Russian cities are shelled every day, and the Russian population is bombed. The fighters release blood centimeter by centimeter. In these fields, a sacred military brotherhood emerges from representatives of different nationalities in our vast country. How will the words of the defender of the charter, Sobolev, help them?" Kadyrov noted.

According to the head of Chechnya, the generals should be more useful in generating successful and feasible ideas, such as strategic ones, to minimize losses among the military and civilian populations. "Sobolev knows perfectly well who wears a beard and why on the front line. Therefore, I am seriously convinced that this is a clear provocation designed to extinguish the morale of the soldiers who are in a holy war for the sake of the Almighty and who wear a beard only for the Almighty, as our beloved Prophet did. These bearded men liberated Mariupol, Severodonetsk, Lysychansk, and other cities, performing all the assigned tasks of the headquarters. In our team, 99.9% wear a beard, take care of it, and wear it according to the Sunnah. And our fighters in the "special operation" zone also look after their beards," the head of Chechnya said.

Kadyrov urged everyone to stop picking on the fighters for any reason. "Do you want to check compliance with the charter? Please! Forward to the front! As a dozen State Duma MPs who actively participate in hostilities and receive Hero trophies are already doing. Dear Vyacheslav Viktorovich, please, send the guardians of the charter to the front line. I understand age and all that, but in politics, there should not be older versus younger or brother versus matchmaker. In politics, there are only the state's interests," Kadyrov stressed.
