
Rumors About Russian Delegation Discussing Withdrawal of Russian Peacekeepers with Baku and Yerevan; Armenia and Russia Deny

On October 6, citing its diplomatic source, the TASS agency reported that the delegation of the Russian Ministry of Defense will visit Yerevan on Friday [October 6] to discuss the terms of the withdrawal of the Russian peacekeeping troops from Nagorno Karabakh.
"Today, the delegation of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation will visit Yerevan, and at the meeting with the Armenian side, the specific dates for the withdrawal of the Russian peacekeeping troops from Nagorno Karabakh will be discussed," TASS noted.
On the same day, Aram Torosyan, Spokesman of the Ministry of Defense, noted that official Yerevan has no information about the visit of the Russian Ministry of Defense delegation and that such a meeting is not planned in the Ministry of Defense of Armenia.
Furthermore, the Russian side denied the news that the issue of withdrawing peacekeepers from Karabakh is being discussed in Baku or Yerevan. "The information spread by several media outlets that the delegation of the Russian Defense Ministry in Baku or Yerevan is discussing the withdrawal of the Russian peacekeeping troops from Karabakh is not true," the diplomatic source from the Russian Defense Ministry said.
