Armenia Reaffirms Commitment to EAEU Amid Strengthening Ties with EU and US, Official Clarifies

On April 11, Mher Grigoryan, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, clarified that Armenia's cooperation with the European Union and the United States is not aimed at undermining its participation in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).

Grigoryan emphasized Armenia's commitment to diversifying its trade and economic relations, a strategy pursued by many countries globally. He underscored that such diversification efforts are not targeted against any specific country or union, including the EAEU.

Addressing concerns about potential conflicts between Armenia's cooperation with the US and EU and its participation in the EAEU, Grigoryan emphasized that the diversification policy does not signify an intention to leave the EAEU. Instead, Armenia seeks to maintain constructive engagement with multiple partners while upholding its commitments within the EAEU framework.
