Secretary of Ukraine's Defence Council urges Georgia to start fighting against Russia

On 20 October, Oleksiy Danilov, the Secretary of Ukraine's National Security and Defence Council, urged Moldova and Georgia to start fighting against Russia - to liberate their territories from Russian occupiers - in order to ease their own situation.

"If Georgians and Moldovans started to liberate their territories from Russian occupiers, we would solve this problem much faster," he added. "That is the decision of their governments; that is the decision of those countries. They believe that with our help, that is, if we defeat the Russians, they will liberate their territories very quickly," Danilov noted.

According to him, the third world war began in 2008 - during Georgia's attack on South Ossetia, and now its hot phase is underway. "The third world war began in 2008, when the Russian Federation attacked Georgia and seized part of its territory. Then there was the situation in February 2014. It was simply in a 'cool' state, but now it has entered an active phase. On 24 February 2022 it entered a hot phase. And what is happening now on the territory of Israel, on the territory of other countries - these are the consequences. I am sure that this is not the last war that we will see soon. The world has come to a great movement. Much will now depend on how quickly it will be possible to put an end to this problem," Danilov concluded.
