
Separatist Abkhazia's Bzhania in Russia for Key Bilateral Talks

On February 8, Aslan Bzhania, the de-facto President of the separatist Abkhazia, embarked on a working trip to the Russian Federation, where he held several significant meetings with the Presidential Administration and the Government of Russia.
During his visit, Bzhania met with Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Dmitry Kozak, accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak, as well as with First Deputy Secretary of the Security Council Rashid Nurgaliev, Minister of Economic Development Maxim Reshetnikov, and Chairman of the Central Election Commission Ella Pamfilova. Additionally, he held discussions with Daniil Egorov, the head of the Federal Tax Service.
The discussions during these meetings revolved around various aspects of bilateral cooperation, mainly focusing on socio-economic collaboration, energy, and other significant areas where both parties actively engage in joint efforts.
Furthermore, on the same day, as part of his working visit to Moscow, Bzhania met with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. The meeting centered on developing Abkhaz-Russian relations, underlining the importance of fostering strong ties between the two nations. During the encounter, President Bzhania congratulated Minister Lavrov on the upcoming Day of Diplomatic Worker and conveyed his best wishes for success in advancing the interests of the Russian state through his diplomatic endeavors.
