"The Parliamentary Assembly (PA) of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) has focused almost all its attention on the Ukrainian problem, often ignoring conflict situations in other points and regions of the world, also within the OSCE area," stated Eduard Aghajanyan, the Head of the Armenian delegation in this structure and representative of the ruling Civil Contract party, presenting the annual report of the delegation's activities in the parliament of the republic.

“Since February of this year, practically no other topic has been on the agenda of the OSCE PA. And, to put it mildly, it was extremely difficult to draw the attention of our colleagues to other topics and problems, including the processes taking place in our region,” complained an Armenian MP.

Aghajanyan recalled that during the summer session of the OSCE PA, held at the end of June, the Armenian delegation proposed to make some changes to the final resolution of the PA political commission, which concerned the need to resolve the Karabakh conflict, preserve the Armenian cultural heritage in the Nagorno-Karabakh and the return of Armenian prisoners. However, the changes were not approved and not included in the document's final version.

"Such behavior of the OSCE PA representatives is unacceptable and deserves condemnation. Such approach raises many questions from the Armenian side, and it is necessary to analyze and draw conclusions from such obsessed attention of Europeans in Ukraine," the parliamentarian noted.

He added that the final declaration of the OSCE PA, adopted in June, referred to the aggressive war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine but did not say anything about the humanitarian consequences of the 44-day war in Karabakh in the fall of 2020.
