
Turkey to Host Third "3+3" Meeting with Azerbaijan, Armenia, Russia, and Iran

On October 18, Istanbul will host the third meeting of foreign ministers in the "3+3" format, with the participation of Turkey, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Russia, and Iran. Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan announced the meeting during a press conference in Ankara on October 15.
Fidan emphasized Turkey’s stance that regional issues should be addressed directly by the countries involved. "We continue consultations with the South Caucasus countries through the '3+3' regional cooperation platform. On October 18, the third meeting of foreign ministers in the '3+3' format will take place in Istanbul, with the participation of foreign ministers from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Iran, and Russia," Fidan stated.
Armenia’s Foreign Ministry has also confirmed that Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan will attend the meeting. The Armenian Foreign Ministry’s Spokesperson, Ani Badalyan, remarked, "On October 18, in Türkiye, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, Ararat Mirzoyan, will participate in the third meeting of the '3+3' regional consultative platform."
Additionally, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova confirmed that Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will also attend the upcoming meeting.
