US Official: "Trump Is Eagerly Awaiting Peace Treaty Between Azerbaijan and Armenia"
On April 4, Eric Jacobs, Senior Adviser at the U.S. State Department’s Bureau of Energy Resources, stated that President Donald Trump is eagerly anticipating the signing of a long-awaited peace treaty between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
Speaking at an energy event in Baku, Jacobs described the treaty as the dawn of a "new era of security and prosperity" for the South Caucasus. He congratulated Azerbaijan on finalizing the agreement’s text with Armenia, adding that President Trump looks forward to its signing and ratification.
"Stability and an official peace agreement are vital for ensuring long-term economic development in the region," Jacobs said, commending Azerbaijan’s "courageous step toward peace and progress."
