Volodymyr Zelenskyy: "Azerbaijan Will Participate in Reconstruction of Irpin"
On June 21, while receiving Seymur Mardaliyev, the newly appointed ambassador of Azerbaijan to this country, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Azerbaijan would participate in the reconstruction of the Ukrainian city of Irpin, the Office of the President of Ukraine reported.
Congratulating Seymur Mardaliyev on the occasion of his diplomatic activity in Ukraine, Zelensky expressed his gratitude for Azerbaijan's support of Ukraine's territorial integrity and sovereignty. Volodymyr Zelensky conveyed his most sincere greetings to the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev. He noted that their last meeting in Chisinau was fruitful, and they were able to discuss many issues of mutual interest.
"In particular, we agreed on the participation of Azerbaijan in the reconstruction of the city of Irpin," he noted. "Our teams are already working on the implementation of this agreement. This will be a concrete contribution to Ukraine's post-war recovery," the head of state stressed.
The President of Ukraine also thanked the Ukrainians, who suffered from Russian aggression, for the sincere reception in Azerbaijan. He expressed his gratitude for the humanitarian assistance provided by Azerbaijan in eliminating the consequences of Russia's armed aggression, especially the man-made disaster caused by the Russian Federation at the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Station. Volodymyr Zelensky said that he hoped for the active participation of Azerbaijan in the implementation of the Ukrainian peace formula and participation in the Global Peace Summit.
The president has invited Azerbaijani business people to join the implementation of infrastructure and energy projects.
