On March 11, Gia Volski, the First Vice-Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia, stated that Georgia’s territory will not be used to circumvent international sanctions. Volski emphasized that Georgia has committed to ensuring that its territory will not assist Russia, Iran, or any other sanctioned state in bypassing sanctions, and he confirmed that this commitment is being fully upheld. He noted that these obligations have been in place for an extended period.

Regarding the potential sanctioning of the Kulevi oil terminal, Volski described the issue as largely a political initiative. He added that certain groups are attempting to push for sanctions against Georgia and seek to involve the country in international conflicts, with the discussions around the Kulevi terminal serving as one example of this broader campaign.
