Before the session, Pashinyan and Kobakhidze held a private meeting to discuss key cooperation issues and regional developments. In his opening remarks, Pashinyan reaffirmed Armenia's commitment to strengthening ties with Georgia, emphasizing that the strategic partnership declaration signed in Tbilisi on January 26, 2024, serves as a foundation for expanded cooperation.
He stressed that Armenia and Georgia fully respect each other’s territorial integrity and share a commitment to regional peace and stability. Highlighting the “Crossroads of Peace” project, Pashinyan noted Georgia’s crucial role in regional economic connectivity, underlining the initiative’s potential to bring tangible benefits to both countries.
Both leaders emphasized the importance of trade and economic collaboration. He called for simplifying customs and border regulations to facilitate trade and transportation.
Georgian PM Kobakhidze highlighted the 40% increase in Armenian investments in Georgia and pledged to create an even more attractive business and investment environment.
