On March 22, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan participated in a Parliamentary meeting and answered questions from MPs, the Press Office of the Armenian Foreign Ministry reported.

Mirzoyan stated, "We have again received Azerbaijani proposals, we are working on them, and shortly there will naturally be our reaction and our proposals. Of course, it is unnecessary even to say that the rhetoric and aggressive attitude I mentioned not only do not contribute to the peace process but also create new obstacles on the way of that process, but we are firm; our position has not changed, we will persistently and sincerely continue to negotiate, aiming at the region to establish a lasting and stable peace."

He said: "For Armenia, this mission is another important tool that should be used for the general peace process. I am aware that there are also comments that the Armenian side, so to speak, is hiding behind the EU mission and doing some provocations, etc. First, the Armenian side does not provoke at all. Secondly, again, for the Armenian side, the Republic of Armenia, the EU mission is only an instrument that should bring additional benefits, additionally, strengthen the peace process, stability in the region, as well as, for example, carry out the objective reality assessment and transfer to the European Union colleagues."

The minister was asked, "How would you summarize your visit to Moscow? What arrangements are there, and do you expect concrete actions to unblock the Lachin Corridor?"

Mirzoyan answered: "My assessment of the visit is unequivocal. Quite a constructive, sincere conversation took place both during the private conversation between Minister Lavrov and me and during the meeting of the already expanded delegations. A constructive discussion took place. We touched upon various issues of the permanent bilateral agenda, as well as, of course, regional issues. We have presented the latest developments. Of course, I drew attention to the aggressive attitude of Azerbaijan. As for the alleged actions in the Lachine Corridor, yes, of course, we expect. If you remember, Ms. Minasyan, with the tripartite statement of November 9, 3 countries agreed that the Lachin Corridor remains under the control of Russian peacekeepers and Azerbaijan guarantees bilateral traffic there."
