Armenia and EU Commence Visa Liberalization Dialogue in Yerevan

On November 5, Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Paruyr Hovhannisyan announced at a joint session of the parliamentary standing committees in Armenia's National Assembly that a European Union delegation had arrived in Yerevan to initiate negotiations on visa liberalization with Armenia.

Hovhannisyan described this year as unprecedented in advancing the Armenia-EU partnership agenda, highlighting numerous achievements in various sectors, including the Armenia-Europol and Armenia-Eurojust agreements. “The dialogue on the liberalization of European visas for the citizens of the Republic of Armenia has started,” he stated, noting that the EU delegation would be in Yerevan from November 5 to 6 to develop a relevant negotiation framework.

Additionally, the Deputy Foreign Minister mentioned that the draft of a new Armenia-EU partnership agenda is nearing completion. “All these steps will certainly impact the works planned for 2025,” he emphasized, underscoring the Foreign Ministry’s commitment to deepening Armenia-EU relations.
