
Armenia-OSCE Meeting Focuses on Peace, Bilateral Engagement

Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with Feridun Sinirlioglu, Secretary General of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), during the latter’s regional visit to the South Caucasus, the Armenian PM’s Office reported.
Welcoming the OSCE Secretary General to Yerevan, Pashinyan described the visit as a valuable opportunity to deepen Armenia’s dialogue with the OSCE and strengthen bilateral cooperation. He emphasized that active engagement with the OSCE remains important for Armenia, particularly given its continued commitment to peace and stability in the region.
Secretary General Sinirlioglu echoed the importance of the South Caucasus for the OSCE, underlining the organization’s intent to remain engaged and supportive of peace-building efforts.
The meeting centered on the prospects for a peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan, with both sides expressing hope that it would be signed soon. Prime Minister Pashinyan reiterated that advancing the peace agenda is a core priority of his government. He elaborated on Armenia’s position and expressed readiness to take the next steps toward resolution.
Sinirlioglu expressed optimism, noting that the current political climate presents a unique opportunity to achieve long-sought peace.
The two officials also exchanged views on broader regional developments and on the OSCE’s role in supporting stability in the South Caucasus.
Armenian FM, OSCE Secretary General Explore Regional Peace and Connectivity
On April 20, Armenian FM Ararat Mirzoyan met with OSCE Secretary General Feridun Sinirlioğlu during the latter’s visit to Armenia. The meeting focused on deepening cooperation between Armenia and the OSCE, including implementation of joint projects.
The two sides discussed regional developments, particularly the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan. Mirzoyan emphasized the importance of the finalized draft text of the peace agreement and reaffirmed Armenia’s commitment to signing it.
The Armenian FM also presented constructive proposals and reiterated the country’s position on the OSCE Minsk Group.
Strategic discussions included unblocking regional communication routes. Mirzoyan detailed Armenia’s “Crossroads of Peace” initiative, calling it a visionary framework for turning the South Caucasus into a regional and global transit hub.
The conversation included the Armenia-Türkiye normalization process, with both sides expressing interest in sustained dialogue.
Both parties reiterated their dedication to advancing regional peace and expanding Armenia-OSCE relations.
