Armenia Recognizes Palestinian State, Calls for Gaza Ceasefire

On June 21, the Armenian Foreign Ministry reported that the catastrophic humanitarian situation in Gaza and the ongoing military conflict are among the primary issues on the international political agenda requiring resolution. The Republic of Armenia categorically rejected the targeting of civilian infrastructure, violence against civilians, and the hostage-taking of civilians during armed conflict, aligning with the international community's demands for their unconditional release.
Armenia joined the UN General Assembly resolutions calling for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. Additionally, Armenia is genuinely committed to establishing peace and stability in the Middle East and achieving lasting reconciliation between the Jewish and Palestinian peoples. On various international platforms, Armenia has consistently advocated for a peaceful and comprehensive settlement of the Palestinian issue and supports the "two-state" solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, convinced that this is the only way to ensure that both Palestinians and Israelis can fulfill their legitimate aspirations.
The Republic of Armenia recognized the State of Palestine, reaffirming its commitment to international law and the principles of equality, sovereignty, and peaceful coexistence of peoples.
