Armenian High-Level Defense Delegations Visit US and France

On June 22, Major General Edward Asryan, the Chief of the General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces, held a series of meetings with the Command of the US Ground Forces in Europe.

The delegation led by the Armenian military commander, at the invitation of General Daryl Williams, the Commander of the US Ground Forces in Europe, is on a working visit to Germany, where the annual forum of European armies is being held these days.

On the first day of the forum, Edward Asryan had an informal meeting with General James McConville, the Chief of Staff of the US Army in Europe.

On the sidelines of the event, the head of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Armenia also met with General Stefan Maranyan, the chief of Artillery of the US Ground Forces in Europe and who has Armenian ethnic roots.

Moreover, Armenian Defense Minister Suren Papikyan left for France this week. The trip of Papikyan was timed to coincide with the opening of the Paris Air Show 2023 in Le Bourget. He also met with his French colleague Sébastien Lecornu.
