
Azerbaijan and Israel Discuss Security Cooperation and Regional Stability

On December 9, Hikmet Hajiyev, the Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration, met with Isaac Herzog, the President of Israel, and Gideon Sa'ar, Israel’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, to discuss bilateral cooperation, regional developments, and security issues.
During the meeting with President Herzog, Hajiyev conveyed greetings from Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev. Herzog expressed his gratitude for the message and requested that his greetings be relayed to President Aliyev. They discussed Azerbaijan-Israel bilateral cooperation and developments in the region.
In a separate meeting with Gideon Sa'ar, Israel's Foreign Minister, and Liat Wexelman, Head of the Bureau for Euro Asia and West Balkans at Israel’s Foreign Ministry, Hajiyev discussed recent developments in the Middle East and the Caucasus, as well as regional security and Azerbaijan-Israel bilateral relations.
