Azerbaijan Elevates Partnership with NATO Through Energy Security Engagement
On June 5, Jafar Huseynzada, the head of the Azerbaijani mission to NATO, announced that Azerbaijan had been invited for the first time to the NATO Military Committee on Energy Security meeting in the "NATO + Partners" format.
He informed that Esmira Jafarova, the Center for Analysis of International Relations Board Member, will hold a briefing at the NATO Joint Headquarters on energy security issues for allied countries and invited persons.
It is also reported that Esmira Jafarova will hold bilateral meetings with the head of NATO's climate and energy security department, Michael Rule, and the leadership of the NATO Energy Security Center in Lithuania.
Notably, the "NATO + Partners" format expands NATO's relationships beyond its member states to include non-NATO countries that have entered into various forms of cooperation with the alliance. These partnerships aim to promote security, stability, and cooperation in different regions worldwide.
