Biden nominates new ambassador to Yerevan
US President Joe Biden sent proposals to the upper house of the US Congress to appoint new ambassadors to Armenia and Tajikistan. This was reported on the website of the White House. Candidates of career diplomats are proposed for the approval of US senators. The White House owner proposes appointing Christina Quinn to Armenia and Manuel Micaller to Tajikistan.
The term of the current head of the American diplomatic mission in the Armenian capital, Lynne Tracy, is close to the end. Kristina Quinn currently serves as US Chargé d'Affaires in Ukraine, having held this position since January 2020. Before that, she was Deputy US Ambassador to France and an economic adviser to the Embassy in Paris.
