Diplomatic Efforts Intensify as US Seeks Further Armenian-Azerbaijani Dialogue

In an interview with Armenian TV on January 9, Armen Grigoryan, the Secretary of the National Security Council of Armenia, said that the United States continues its efforts to hold another meeting between the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan.
Grigoryan said that the issue of holding another meeting of the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia was the main topic of negotiations between Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and US special representative for the South Caucasus, Luis Bono.
Grigoryan also said that the Armenian side responded to Azerbaijan's latest proposals on the peace treaty. He emphasized that there is a positive dynamic in the process. Grigoryan also said that the parties agreed to hold another meeting on border delimitation. "We are currently waiting for a response from Azerbaijan. We positively evaluate the current dynamics, but there are several issues that we agreed upon during the verbal negotiations, but we see regression in the text of the peace agreement," he noted.
Grigoryan expressed hope that a peace treaty between the two countries would be signed as soon as possible: "What is on the negotiation table and Armenia's proposals guarantee Armenia's security."
