German Foreign Minister Calls on Azerbaijan and Russia to Resolve Humanitarian Crisis in Karabakh

On September 1, German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock expressed concern about the humanitarian situation in Karabakh. The German minister, who was in Toledo, Spain, to attend the Council of Foreign Affairs meeting of the European Union, called on Azerbaijan and Russia to resolve the issue.
"The situation of the people there is catastrophic. There is no food in supermarkets; pregnant women cannot find the medicines they need. Electricity is supplied only intermittently. That's why we appeal to both Azerbaijan and Russia: People should finally get the supplies they need," Baerbock emphasized.
At the same time, the German minister added that they are having discussions with their American partners to resolve the issue. "We have been in contact with our American friends and partners for days and are holding numerous discussions to ensure that humanitarian aid finally reaches the people of Nagorno-Karabakh," Baerbock said.
On the same day, Aykhan Hajizada, the Spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, commented on the views of the German minister and noted that what was mentioned about the humanitarian situation was a product of false propaganda of Armenia.
"Azerbaijan has already offered the Armenian residents living in the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan the necessary necessities for living. The repeated rejection of Azerbaijan's goodwill shows that all the claims are groundless," Hajizada said.
