Irakli Garibashvili Meets with EU Ambassadors in Tbilisi
On March 21, Irakli Garibashvili, the Prime Minister of Georgia, and Revaz Javelidze, the head of Government Administration, had a working lunch with Paweł Herczyński, the EU Ambassador to Georgia, and ambassadors from other EU member states, the Press Office of the Georgian government reported.
The parties discussed the present situation regarding the EU's fulfillment of the 12 requirements for Georgia to become an EU candidate and the execution of associated reforms. Participants in the meeting also discussed a recent analytical study the European Commission released on the conformity of Georgian law with EU regulations.
According to the Government Administration, Garibashvili briefed the ambassadors who were in town on the actions that needed to be taken by the government before the European Commission's report with recommendations for the EU Council's decision to grant Georgia EU candidate status was due to be released in October.
