
Iran Reaffirms Strong Ties with Armenia, Expresses Skepticism Over US Role in the Region

During a press meeting, Iranian Foreign Ministry representative Nasser Kanaani refrained from commenting on reports regarding the US supplying radar and anti-aircraft equipment to Armenia. Instead, Kanaani focused on the friendly and constructive relations between Armenia and Iran, emphasizing both countries’ mutual commitment to strengthening regional stability and security. He highlighted the importance of maintaining their shared borders, which he believes are key to economic and commercial development.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Nasser Kanaani, also pointed out that Iran does not interfere in the bilateral relations of other countries or their dealings with third parties. However, he emphasized that, as a general principle, Iran views the role of the United States in the region with skepticism, particularly regarding its military presence.
