Nikol Pashinyan Sends Condolences Regarding Earthquake in Turkey

On February 6, a 7.4-magnitude earthquake with at least six aftershocks hit the Turkish-Syrian border. As of 20:00 [local time], the earthquake in Turkey had caused at least 1762 fatalities and 12,068 injuries. In Syria, there have been roughly 1060 fatalities and more than 2400 injuries.

On the same day, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan posted on Twitter, expressing his condolences to the families of the victims and victims of the devastating earthquakes in Syria and Turkey and offering Armenia's help. "I am saddened by the devastating earthquake in Turkey and Syria, which took so many human lives. We send our deepest condolences to the families of the victims and wish the injured a speedy recovery. Armenia is ready to provide assistance," Pashinyan wrote on his Twitter account.

According to Vahan Hunanyan, the Press Secretary of the Armenian Foreign Ministry, efforts are also being made to obtain information about the presence of Armenian citizens among the victims in Turkey.
