Meeting with Jeyhun Bayramov

On August 10, a telephone conversation was held between Jeyhun Bayramov, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and Bujar Osmani, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of North Macedonia and the current Chairman of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), the Press Office of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry reported.

During the telephone conversation, issues of cooperation within the framework of the OSCE, the agenda of bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and North Macedonia, the Azerbaijan-Armenia peace process, and the current situation in the region were discussed. "Minister Jeyhun Bayramov pointed out that the increasing provocations by Armenia against the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan are calculated to prevent the progress of the peace process. In particular, it was said that Armenia's provocations against the Lachin border crossing, which threaten the reintegration efforts of Armenian residents in the region, show that this country is not interested in the peace process," the report added.

Meeting with Ararat Mirzoyan

On August 10, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan had a telephone conversation with Bujar Osmani, the Press Office of the Armenian Foreign Ministry reported.

"As a continuation of the meeting of two ministers within the framework of the Dubrovnik Forum in July, Minister Mirzoyan briefed his counterpart on the details of the deepening humanitarian crisis in Nagorno-Karabakh resulting from Azerbaijan’s illegal blockade of the Lachin corridor. Minister Mirzoyan emphasized that since June 15, the people of Nagorno-Karabakh have been under total blockade, and the humanitarian activities of the ICRC, the only international humanitarian organization with access to Nagorno-Karabakh, are being obstructed, as the ICRC announced on July 25," the report added.

Both sides emphasized the urgency of resolving the humanitarian situation for people on the ground and the need for joint steps with international partners. While highlighting the importance of the statements of international partners with targeted calls to Azerbaijan, Minister Mirzoyan emphasized the need for consistency and joint efforts in that direction.
