On August 26, during a meeting between Azerbaijani Ambassador to Pakistan Khazar Farhadov and Deputy Chairman of Pakistan’s Senate Syedaal Khan, Pakistan and Azerbaijan explored the prospects of enhancing bilateral economic and trade relations and multilateral cooperation across various sectors of the economy.

Syedaal Khan emphasized that Pakistan highly values its fraternal relations with Azerbaijan and called for increased cooperation in areas such as economic and trade relations, investment, energy, defense, agriculture, and natural resources. He highlighted the urgent need to promote investment and trade between the two countries and stressed the importance of removing existing obstacles to improve the economy. Khan also noted that parliamentary and institutional cooperation could help enhance public-level relations between the two nations.

Further emphasizing the importance of bilateral and multilateral cooperation, Syedaal Khan stated that Pakistan is committed to advancing its economic relations with Azerbaijan. He pointed out that trade and investment opportunities could be better explored through frequent exchanges of business delegations. Khan also highlighted the rich mineral wealth of Pakistan, particularly in the Baluchistan province, and predicted that this would play a crucial role in transforming the region's destiny. He expressed confidence that Pakistan would emerge as the economic and trade hub of the region, inviting investors and businessmen from around the world to seize the investment opportunities in Pakistan.

Ambassador Khazar Farhadov agreed with the deputy chairman's views and expressed Azerbaijan's keen interest in further developing its relations with Pakistan. They both agreed on the need to prepare an early action plan for the exchange of business delegations while emphasizing the importance of institutional cooperation.
