Pashinyan Discusses Progress in Armenia-Azerbaijan Peace Talks and Railroad Proposal

During a conversation with journalists at the National Assembly on February 26, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that receiving a 12-pack of proposals indicated that the peace agreement process had not reached an impasse.
Pashinyan emphasized that Armenia would present its own proposals and highlighted the active work of the delimitation commissions. He expressed optimism that Azerbaijan would respond positively to Armenia's proposed solution for railroad transportation between the two countries, including routes from western Azerbaijan to Nakhchivan and from Yeraskh to Meghri. He noted that both nations would benefit from using each other’s railroads for international cargo transportation.
Regarding the peace treaty, Pashinyan clarified that issues related to constitutional changes and corridors were not included in the discussions. He underlined that multiple layers and nuances remain in the ongoing negotiations.
