Pashinyan Raises Concerns Over Nagorno-Karabakh in Meeting with Putin
At the end of the meeting with the heads of government of the CIS and EAEU states, Vladimir Putin and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan held a separate conversation in Sochi on June 9.
"We meet regularly, but I am very pleased to have the opportunity on the sidelines of today’s event to once again talk about the current situation bilaterally and on regional issues, which we spoke about in such detail at the previous meeting in Moscow," the head of the Russian state noted.
Nikol Pashinyan, in turn, congratulated the Russian leader on the upcoming holiday - Russia Day, wishing for the well-being of the Russian Federation and its people. "Yes, indeed, we meet regularly and discuss a wide range of issues. Today we will also discuss issues on the bilateral agenda and regional issues. I think today we will also discuss the situation in the zone of responsibility of Russian peacekeepers in Nagorno-Karabakh. Unfortunately, the humanitarian situation there remains tense. There has been no gas or electricity in Nagorno-Karabakh for several months. The situation in the Lachin corridor remains rather tense. By the way, I must emphasize that now food deliveries to Nagorno-Karabakh are carried out with the help of Russian peacekeepers, and this is a limited amount of food. In general, the humanitarian crisis in Nagorno-Karabakh continues, and this is also a very important issue. I am sure we will discuss it today," the Armenian prime minister said.
