Notably, in April 2024, during an official visit to Armenia, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev offered Kazakhstan's assistance in hosting peace talks between Armenia and Azerbaijan. He emphasized Kazakhstan's readiness to provide a venue for negotiations, underscoring the country's commitment to regional stability and its capacity to serve as a mediator without assuming a direct mediating role. Subsequently, in May 2024, Kazakhstan hosted a two-day meeting in Almaty between the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan. Kazakhstan did not participate directly in the discussions, but it provided the necessary infrastructure and support to facilitate the dialogue.
